o2 Boost Box and iPhone 5

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello all, I have a o2 Boost Box supplied to me via my corporate account, I have just upgraded to the new iPhone 5 but it doesn't seem to work with the boost box, my iPad and Blackberry still work with it so I know that the boost box is still working, does anyone have any ideas on why it doesn't work with the new iPhone?

Thanks

you may not get much help here re boost box as it is not on general sale.

You may need to get your it bods at work to help.

I beleive each number used on the boost box has to be assigned? http://www.o2.co.uk/enterprise/products-and-services/prices-and-terms

You need to call O2 Boostbox Support to get the new number added:

http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/srvs/cgi-bin/webcgi.exe?New,KB=Companion,ts=o2smb,question=ref%28user%29:...

Look under Products and Services> O2 Boostbox.

I've already had the number added, It worked fine when I was on the iPhone 4s, upgraded my existing contact and now it doesn't work, if I put my iPhone 5 sim in a different phone (with the sim adapter) it works fine with the boost box so it must be something to do with the 5!

You could try giving the Boostbox a factory reset.

I assume your new iPhone 5 works outside your house in an area with good 3G signal ?

If so then as perksie said, your best bet is to contact o2 Boostbox support and confirm whether your iPhone as well as your sim (which you have proved) are both setup correctly for your boostbox.

Also - have you updated your iPhone to the latest OS?

I have the most recent version of iOS 6.0.1 and my number is registered with the box, o2 customer care are pretty useless as all they keep asking for is the mobile number of my 5 so they can add it, They don't seem to understand that the number is already registered!!!

ARGH!

Will the Boostbox still work if I change my mobile phone SIM card?

You will need to call O2 Boostbox support if you change your SIM card so that your Access List can be updated. source http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/srvs/cgi-bin/webcgi.exe?New,KB=Companion,ts=o2smb,question=ref%28user%29:... and type boostbox into the search box

It is not just the number but I suspect imei of phone attached etc.

As you now have a nano sim with different ssid and iphone 5 with a different imei.
