My NFC is enabled in my phone and the phone is set to my Paypal account for payments. Does this mean I can say walk into the likes of MacDonalds etc and wave my phone over the NFC payment device to pay for goods and services etc?

Oh, that's just so that you can pay for apps using PayPal and nothing more.

Um, I use NFC on a regular basis including finding advertising NFC tags and using it to transfer contacts, pictures and other information. Saying it's useless without payment app is a bold statement isn't it? tongue

I recommend waiting for a short while longer for these apps to surface and for security and testing to be done. slight_smile

Sit tight and hold on! It's gonna be a bumpy ride slight_smile

Is the Paypal app NFC compatible? If so, yes, if not you need an app that is.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I don't believe that the Z10 has any apps that currently allow you to make use of contactless (NFC) payments. If you find any app that claims it can, I would avoid it like the plague just incase. Wait for official apps to come out slight_smile

There's no Paypal app as such it's just the settings in the payments section of settings that specifies how blackberry world payments are made ... does it only apply to blackberry world then? If so it's a bit pointless having nfc isn't it slight_smile

Cool ...

I guess I'd misunderstood the level of NFC integration. I'd figured that by now it would have been a done deal and be up and working, I think the last time I looked at it was 2 years ago when deciding if I needed it in my then new phone decision. Thanks for the help slight_smile

Ahhhh right. Nah, not yet. I had a BlackBerry Bold 9900 for 18 months that boasted the ability to make NFC payments (if it had the apps to do that) and not a single NFC payment app materialised.
