Windows phone 8.1 should be announced today with a rumoured release date of 23rd April.
So question is, how long until O2 get it out to us? I'm starting my campaign now due the stupidly long wait for gdr3 on huawei w1.

My assumption would mean 02 is ensuring the firmware has no incompatibility issues.

I am running the developer preview on the Nokia Lumia 1020 without any issues. There is a further update to the developer preview but as of yet I have not been able to get it.

You can get cortana working if you re-jig your regional settings and set up as US. More of a novelty at the moment. Several good things in the preview and the eventual 8.1 full update.

Worth a look if your interested plenty guides online on how to.

On another note upgraded my old 925 yesterday to a bit of fiddling, the device was running Developer Preview. Back peddled the device to the previous rom using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. Then ran the Updater, there was a rom update and then the 8.1 update came down. No issues at all with the update. Phone is fine. I have been running the Developer Preview for a while now and not noticed any issues.

I see from the official page that the update for the 1020 is in testing. Any idea how long the testing phase usually takes to complete?

A good few weeks for O2 but they will publish on the community when it's available.

I found this Cyan Update app which means I don't need to keep checking the availability page
