Unlocking an old Nokia phone

Anonymous
Not applicable

Having taken advice from the O2 community I started the process to unlock an old Nokia 206. I filled in the form as recommended and after numerous Guru chats managed to get a 20 digit unlocking number. However, when I put my activated BT SIM into the phone and turned on it wants a "restriction code". The O2 Guru asked me if I was over 18!!, otherwise they did not know what it was, so I am stuck having topped up with £20 to get it unlocked and with £15 taken from my balance. Can anyone help?

If o2 have taken your money they need to either provide the correct code or refund you.
I assume you have entered the code you were given into the handset?

It just means it's still locked - different handsets have different wording.

Nope, Nokia, Samsung, Sony, BB all say something different.
O2 have taken the money here so need to provide the service assuming the code has been entered correctly of course.
