Phablet and Fonepad

Not applicable

For phablets and ASUS fonepad etc that have voice calling facilities, which is the best sim to use?  Is it ok to use a normal sim with both mins, texts and data?

As they are like tablets if you use a broadband sim then it defeats the object of having voice/text facilities because I've read that if you try to call out on a data only sim the calls don't work as the voice option is not active on the data only sims.

If it is ok to use a normal pay as you go sim, then no problem. If it is data sim only do you need to add extra credit to make calls send texts etc.?
