The links I put turned out to be only temporary links so, if you want to verify the information here on the Virgin Media's help pages, you're looking for the documents titled:
'How do I download mail from the same account on more than one PC or mobile device, using "recent" mode?'
'E-mail settings for addresses ending in @blueyonder.co.uk'
'E-mail settings for addresses ending in @virginmedia.com'
'E-mail settings for addresses ending in @ntlworld.com'
'E-mail settings for addresses ending in @virgin.net'
It would work without the "recent: " but, if I'm reading the Virginmedia help pages right, e-mails that were picked up on one device (e.g. a phone) may not appear on another device (e.g. a desktop PC).
