I have just set up to receive my Supanet email to my mobile as I had previously done with an SE K800i on an Orange contract. Alas, the same problem - whilst I am able to receive emails, I cannot send them! O2 CS very helpful but I am inclined to think that with all the settings in place, it may be a problem with the mobile. I would be grateful for any ideas on this, please.
Unlike Orange, o2 does not send email text alerts, unless you have o2 broadband, so that you cannot chose whether an email is important enough or urgent enough to warrant downloading to your mobile. Maybe this is a service which will be provided in the future?

Make sure you have activated POP or IMAP...Log into your Gmail web page, click on settings....click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

Then select Configuration instructions.....better to use the IMAP configuration.

Hello there

Your'e chart is great, but can still not get any email to work on my LG Viewty other than the o2. On the settings section for the email (on the phone), after the SMTP authentication it has entries for SMTP username and password. Trouble is I am not sure what it needs here - the ISP's SMTP username or o2's SMTP username ? Whichever I try it does not seem to work.

Any suggestions ?

If you phone is contract or pay monthly then O2 would have blocked off all access to other mail accounts.
