Hi, My phone (Nokia N86) was recently off for repair and returned about a week ago, Last night I tried to send an MMS message with no joy, So i got the phone settings sent to me from the O2 website, however it removed "O2 Mobile Web" which I use for browsing and e-mail, instead I only have O2 Active WAP. I have allready rung twice to try and sort this out with no avail. Please can someone get help I have had a look on the web for settings and came across this : "
O2 GPRS settings (Mobile Web / Email):
Homepage: http://pda.o2.co.uk/ Access point: mobile.o2.co.uk Username: mobileweb Password: password Session type: Continuous / permanent Authentication: Normal Security: Off
Email servers (POP): mail.o2.co.uk Email servers (SMTP): smtp.o2.co.uk DNS Servers: 22.214.171.124 and 126.96.36.199
Note: The "Mobile Web" service must be enabled for these settings to work. * We've also been told of an alternative username of 'faster', with a password of 'password'
Contact o2 Customer Services to get this enabled."
are these the correct settings? because I am getting "Packet data connection not available unable to perform operation" when I try to use the above settings! This is very irritating I have also been told twice by O2 staff today that 02 Active and 02 mobile web are the same things even though I know this isn't true and have been told previously that 02 active is slower than mobile web as its a wap service! I am getting very annoyed with the Level of customer service I am receiving at the moment! and rely upon my phone quiet alot! any help would be great

Why not use the settings wizard on the phone?
Mobile Web is not faster than WAP. The WAP settings only allow access through the WAP gateway, whereas Mobile Web allows full access and is needed for email. (Note that the situation is different for Pay and Go customers, the payandgo.o2.co.uk APN is not restricted)
