Hi Guys

I really hope somebody can help me. My lumia 800 for some bizarre reason was working fine then i picked it up to text and the power button wouldnt start the screen back up. I cant switch it off either. The phone will receive calls and work fine until the screensaver comes on then i cant get it off a black screen to get back into the start screen. I works if plugged in to charger. Its really annoying as i need my phone at all times. Anyone else had this problem???

Thanks for any replies i get x

Linzi x

Seems a common issue, after I searched via google.

People are using their camera button to wake the phone as an alternative.

Is it still under warranty? Best get it swapped.

O2 offer a doorstep swap service I think!

Ah camera button to wake it, I never thought of that. I think I may go for early upgrade tbh as the proximity server has been broken for a while too! Thanks for replying x

Just a stop gap until you get it sorted, but should do the trick slight_smile

Early upgrades are always good as you get a new toy!

PS. Get the iPhone wink

I would suggest going to a O2 high street shop with working demo models and have a play.

The iPhone is not for everyone.

Whichever you choose we are all here to help and advise.

Enjoy the adventure.

Nokia do have a 2 year limited warranty so it may be worth repairing even just to sell on or pass down to a family member.
