If I am out of O2 network coverage for a long time ( more than about 5 hours ) when I come within network coverage my Nokia 620 does not reconnect automatically. Only way to get reconnected is turn phone off and back on. Network selection is set to "Automatic".

SIM is one I have had for many years and this has never been a problem on other phones. Any suggestions or is the phone faulty ?

Hi

It may be worth having your sim replaced if you've had it for years.

An O2 shop will do this for you.

For me if I make a call then 4G turns to 3G and can take a little while to go back to 4G but i never lose network signal on my iPhone 5s.

On my Lumia 520 I don't lose signal the way you described.

You may need a Nokia care point to take a look if the sim swap does not help.

Some CPW have them in store.

I'm guessing the refresh rate is just slow.... What happens if you just leave it - does it ever regain a signal or not?
A sim swap would be the first thing to do then after that send the phone in for repair.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
