MMS - cant send photo messages!

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a Nokia Lumia 625.  Generally happy with it but MMS messaging is a problem.  Spent ages on O2 chat with various 'gurus' checking my MMS settings but still got nowhere!  Eberytime I attach a photo and send a text I get a reply saying "Can't send message:Try again".  What a stupid message!  I have tried several times with no luck.  Tried changing my MMS settyings to the ones provided by O2 support.  Still doesn't work!  I did manage to send a photo once when I first got the phone a couple of months ago but no luck since.  Why is sending a photo message such a problem?

Just to also check, you do have a decent signal (ie, 3G, H or 4G)?
I know that sometimes MMS won't download over 2G/E signal...

Ironic when MMS is based on 2g technology anyway.

I can't remember the last time I sent an mms. At 40p a pop there are so many free ways to send over wifi and even email. Makes no sense using yesterday's technology today.

Think back to when MMS was first introduced in around 2001. The first MMS capable phones were limited to 300kb and would send over enhanced 2g networks. Later on the 300kb imit was removed, but anything over that requires 3g.
So basically, under 300kb will go over GPRS, over that, 3g is required.
