Lumia 735 Custom Ringtone

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have transferred a midi ringtone to a Lumia 735. I can see it when viewed by cable from my PC and using Files on the phone. The ringtone shows in the Ringtones folder but is not visible when I want to change the current ringtone.

I have googled it and it appears that it should appear in the list "Custom" but it isn't. Any ideas please as I've become attached to it.

It's possible certain file types may not be compatible.
Try importing an MP3 file (less than 30mb) in the same way and see if it shows up under "Custom" in the ringtones list.

I've done that and the ringtone is preent in the ringtone folder of the phone. Unfortuately it is not visible on the list of ringtones available to change on Settings/Ringtones.

I've always used it on previous Nokias without any problem. Does the fact that it is a midi file pose a problem?

Thanks for your help MI5. I've just read that the phone require mp3 or WAV files and I've converted my MIDI ringtone to WAV and don't like the result. I have therefor ditched the idea and have settled for one of the phones tones.

You could always download the zedge app and see if you can find your ringtone on there.
