Can not conect to Openzone on my HTC HD2

I have unlimited WiFi but I am unable to connect to Openzone even though I am within range. I have put in my phone number on login screen but still will not connect. It is very frustrating. Is there a way of having my settings stored on phone same as when I connect to my Home WiFi.

It may be that the details that BT have held for you are incorrect.

Send a text with the word 'wifi' to 2121, you should get a confirmation within a couple of minutes.

This resets your details with the BT Openzone and the Cloud within approx. 1 hour (if you do it during o2's office hours) so that the next time you pop in your mobile number it registers you from scratch.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that BT Openzone is only for the iPhone and Palm Pre. Other phones only get Cloud access.

I do know sending the text to 2121 only resets for Cloud. For BT Openzone you have to fill in a form:

The wifi bolt on does give access to BT Openzone.

Texting wifi to 2121 resets your mac address for both BT Openzone and the Cloud.

Its not the bolt-on thats the issue. If BT haven't enabled a specific device type's browser to work on their authentication system then it aint going to work.
Regarding texting 2121, I've just looked on the O2 website and it says:

To reset the MAC address with The Cloud Simply text the word 'WIFI' to 2121 free of charge from your iPhone mobile number.
To reset the MAC address with BT Openzone simply complete the Mac reset form below.
MAC reset form

It could well be out of date though.

Can not conect to Openzone on my HTC HD2

I have the same problem with my HTC Desire. I have the unlimited WEB bolt-on, with a monthly contract. I can access The Cloud, but BT Openzone is a no go.

Trying to find clarification about whether access to BT Openzone is possible (without an iPhone!), is like trying to draw blood out of a stone! Nobody seems to be able to give an authoritive answer. I have texted 2121, filled in the form, everything, each time I try "computer says no!" :smileysad:

Any views here?

Thx

Can not conect to Openzone on my HTC HD2

I have an HTC Desire and have spent hours on the phone about this.

Eventually I was told that only iPhone users can access BTOpenzone hotspots but no one in the call centre knows why, or can escalate my complaint.

Apparently you have to write to:
