I better have a stiff drink. A trip to the vets to pick up one of my cats (after he spent a day there having xrays and blood tests under anaesthetic)...set me back a nice tidy £487 ..Evil...

I suppose the good news was they couldn't find anything wrong with him. The bad news is...he is still limping... and I am broke....Rolleys

I suppose I could start on these...

They fit a new wiring loom and the ABS unit had to be replaced which cost over £700 just for the parts. Friggin' outrageous but what can you do? It grieves me because I'm a time served mechanic but that was in the days when I could strip and rebuild a car blindfold. Nowadays you need a degree and PhD in electronics. In times gone by it would have been a trip to a breakers yard and a couple of hours with a hammer and a spanner!!

The annoying thing is I bought a brand new motor bike in Thailand for £800 which is parked up waiting for me when I get back. Think I'll buy one here if I ever come back LOL

A fair bit of work then @jonsie , is it worth getting a car cover to protect it while you're away?

well, I can't imagine anyone else is hanging around in Wanty's atm, so I'll help myself to a generous nightcap of brandy & hot water slight_smile celebrating 31 years ago today at 20 to 4 in the morning I became a very, very proud mum ..... my son is 30 ..... & I've sent him an appropriate card with 30 on & the picture on the front is of the inside of a car from the drivers perspective + inside the words are something like get yourself motoring today you're 30 ..... so difficult to find a card ie the picture on the front = only sport my son is interested in is F1 & no cards with tech stuff on & he doesn't drink alcohol ..... have enclosed with the card a substantial gift voucher for Leeds Grand Theatre so's he can have an unforgettable experience as & when he chooses, his partner will go with him when her finals are over ..... hope other people remember the moments when they became mums & dads

Bouncy Cheers heart
