A recent Viber update has introduced a feature whereby users can follow celebrities and take part in public discussions.  I've not personally used this feature but I don't think it would be a good idea.

Hi @gemz4the1

This looks familiar to Twitter too.

Personally I choose not to use Viber as I have no need and none of my circle of friends or family use it.

Do you ?

Unfortunately Social Media certainly has its pitfalls 😞

I have the Viber app but I've never actually used it.

I am unsure if it will have a feature whereby celebrities can block people as i'm sure they'll end up with a few crazy people following them.

That could be the case I suppose yes.

Let's not forget celebrities can be naughty too. 😇

WhatsApp works well for myself and family.

Here in Thailand  everyone uses Line, which in many ways is superior to WhatsApp. In fact I use it all the time here.

I've tried Viber previously but I have few friends who use it so it's now been deleted. It would always be bottom of the list for me which is probably why they are trying new options to attract users.
