I don't see much of it over here but I see the odd highlights on YouTube and I do have the app. OK I've always been a fan of people making themselves look ridiculous.... 

I'm well aware however that many good acts are cast aside for the obligatory ripley picked acts that have you throwing things at the TV... totally so it keeps the show in the ratings and Louis Walsh is there as the stooge! 

So who has your vote this year or are you like me. just watch to shake your head at the total commercialism and the money spinning Christmas release and the 10 minute fame of the winner? 

Does anyone here actually pay for the winning artist and what happens if a dog wins... does it get its own Pedigree Chum advert?

Ok so only just finished watching last night's show. I recorded it as it clashed with Strictly and then had to watch Beck on BBC 4.

Anyhow voted via the app for Saara Aalto, 5 After Midnight, Gifty Louise, Relly C and Matt Terry. These are the ones I want to see and hear again. My favourite is still Saara but I know she won't win; foreigners never do. And she is semi-professional as well another strike against her. But she does have the best voice.

Bratavio were blooming awful. Their singing gets worse every time I see them and their outfits more bizarre. But Simon liked them - clearly he was watching a different performance to the one I saw.

And HoneyG what on earth was she wearing - won't comment on the rap as I believe swearing is frowned upon in this forum 😎

The stand out performance for me was Matt Terry. Just annoyed that everyone referred to his song as 'You Don't Own Me' by Grace. I am old enough to remember it was Lesley Gore who first recorded it. In fact it was one of my favourite songs at the time ....:smileywink:

Of course Lesley Gore is better known for 'It's My Party and I'll cry if I want to' ...

I always thought that one was a bit stupid of honest....:smileytongue:

Yeah @ Cleoriff I wondered about the reference to You Don't Own Me by Grace. I owned the Lesley Gore version and @jonsie It's My Party (and I'll Cry if I want to) and can still sing both (badly).
