Sore Tongue!

Had to do some training yesterday at work as we're getting new tablets fitted to our vehicles.

I was expecting them to be some rugged Android based tablet or even an iPad mini in a Otterbox type case, but they went for the Panasonic G1 running some Windows thing?

Apparently it's the only system that is secure enough for our needs!

I had to bite my tongue a few times, when they said everything was going to be based online and the network would ne searching 2G/3G/4G for the best signal possible!

Which I suppose is great if you're in the major towns and cities, but not too good in rural areas.

I quite often see G on the display on our CF19's and on the rare occasion a H!

I'd like to know where these companies gets their ideas from regarding Tech, and loved to have seen the sales pitch to them!

I find myself fortunate to live in Leeds where signal is strong, but I do feel for people in this situation.

Did you see my thread this morning ?

@Toby Mixed views at the moment, they should be getting fitted today!

I'll see what they're like when I'm out and about on the road.
