Sky Yahoo Mail log-in issue caused by cut in transatlantic fibre cables

Just thought I would post this for members who use Sky email (Yahoo email) and have been experiencing issues logging in, sending, receiving email.

This is the information on the Sky forum:

'The issue has been caused by a cut in transatlantic fibre cables by a third party. Engineers are travelling to the site to fix the problem and will carry out repairs over the weekend. 

We don't yet have confirmation on when a permanent fix will be in place but we'll provide further updates as soon as we can'

Of course you can still access through an email client. Mine are being received and sent via the Yahoo app.

I have been having issues with getting my Sky/Sky Yahoo email through logging into Sky's website, Apple Mail on my Mac too though.

Seems to be working ok now for the time been

Mine seems to be working this morning, albeit slightly slower than normal.
