PayPal (Legal Agreements)

I have known for some time that Paypal and Ebay are separating and will be operating as completely unrelated organisations.

I had an email in today from Paypal ...they are changing their legal agreements as a result of this change so am posting the email 'flyer' to give everyone a heads up

Some will know, others wont. I hope it helps those who are unaware of the change

I was a bit concerned today talking to some friends about Paypal and Ebay, at just how many of them had no idea these two companies were becoming independent of each other.

One actually argued because she said even now when she buys something from Ebay she is prompted to link that with her Paypal account ...

No doubt you willl still be able to link them.

These updates have been coming out ever since I've been with them although not very often, I don't pay them much heed.

They started off separately then joined up and now they're reversing it again, it's highly unlikely to affect users at all.

Then I would ask about reporting people who default on payment for an item bought? My husband buys and sells lots of stuff from ebay. On a few occasions he has had people who have not paid for goods they bought. In the past he has reported them jointly to Ebay and Paypal. I presume now they are seperating.... people need to know who to report them to?..One, the other or both...

NB This is a theoretical question...I have no doubt my husband would know exactly who to report to....Others however, may not know

If a buyer does not pay, report to eBay (they reverse charges due)
If a seller does not send, report to PayPal (they refund what's paid)
