Headline : iOS 8.1 brings back the option to switch to 2G, 3G or LTE

Excerpt from the Link "The good news is that Apple is indeed listening to feedback and complaints, as iOS 8.1 which was seeded to developers two days back, will give users the option to either select LTE, 3G or 2G, which should address these concerns."

My Thoughts :

Fingers crossed this toggle is returned for Uk users too in the iOS 8.1 Update.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:

So why do Apple headline that this is going to be in the update when they either have no intention of allowing carriers to offer this, or they know that carriers such as O2 won't offer it? It's ridiculous. I need this toggle because I can't get more than one bar of 3 g in my house and calls drop on that. 5 bars of 2g would be fine, thanks....and that's what I want.

Hi Jbeaney

Take into account theirs more than the Uk end users updating their iPhones to iOS 8.1

Other countries Networks may act differently.

I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this. Hopefully Apple and O2 will resolve it between them.
