"Taxpayers' personal data could be shared with private firms under plans drawn up by Revenue & Customs (HMRC)."

They have got to be kidding..... Right. 😞

Note the key word ANONYMOUS i.e. no names etc

It's still data being released from a secure place to private firms who's systems are perhaps not so secure.

There's no need IMO for this to occur.

I'm not confident on the level of anonymous. A glitch / error in the transfer of data can have consequences.

Once that happens it's out there.

I'm not happy about this at all, or about the NHS plans to pass so called anonymous data for research purposes, Care.Data.  

 

At least you can opt out of the NHS one though!
