Miranda Hart 'in talks to host Generation Game.

I really enjoyed this programme when Sir Bruce Forsyth hosted the Generation Game with the catch phrase "Didn't he/she/they do well?"and "Good game, good game," again amongst others.

What a showman he is.

Not forgetting Larry Grayson with the catch phrase "what's the scores, on the doors" and "Shut that door!",amongst others. slight_smile

I wasn't keen on Jim Davisdon's stint on the show.

Remember the 'cuddly toy' on the conveyor belt !!

Now Miranda Hart is in early talks to resurrect the programme but I'm not so sure she can pull it off.

What do you think ?

Is this programme best left to nostalgia or should it be remade ?

Argh @Cleoriff may I politely request you refrain from such actions.

Feel free to set your tv to auto switch off when MH is on tv of course.

They've brought back Catchphrase on ITV. Surprisingly it's watchable because it's never changed format as such apart from the graphics and presentation. And the contestants keep what they win not like these all or nothing game shows.

Or as Roy would say, it's good but it's not right.

I enjoy Catchphrase though...I like Steven Mulhern as a presenter. He has an infectious sense of humour

I am soooooo glad I'm not the only person who doesn't find her remotely funny!  My friends think she's hilarious so I tried watching her show.  After 10 minutes and no laughs I gave up!

That's 10 minutes of your life you are not getting back @Anonymous

Appreciate we all like different things but Miranda Hart just does nothing that is funny to those I know

Tell me about it!  It was like the time I tried watching Big Brother so I could join in the office conversation!  I just keep quiet now!
