I doubt you can get any further 'off-topic' than this.
Does anybody have any tips for when you dye your hair and it goes wrong, i.e. it goes almost black instead of a light/medium brown?
I did a Google search but I just wondered if anyone has actually had the problem themselves?
All advice much appreciated

Thanks for all of your advice.
I have used a stripping kit on my hair on a few occasions - as well as ruining the condition of the hair (like straw) my hair also went orangy/blonde. Last time I tried to cover this with a light brown shade it went black. My hair dresser has told me that because my hair is so pourus, it absorbs the dye too much. She has advised me to use a blonde shade and that will make it go brown (hopefully).
I will consider all of your advice this weekend and I will let you know what I try and if it works.
Thanks again everyone
