Hi Guys I'm getting a new laptop (old one packed in ) so I've been looking at various ones but don't know what make to go for do fancy a HP one cos never had one before can you guys suggest any?

and another question do I wait till windows ten comes out or do stick with windows 8?

Husband has 8 on his but invited to upgrade to 10 when it comes out. He will wait and see if there are any bugs to iron out first....and stick with 8 till that happens

Personally I would wait but at the moment they are offering free upgrades when it's released on the 29th July.

I'm going to try it on the 29th. I've reserved it and it will automatically download to the laptop.

That's what we both have had. I won't bother at all as I am quite happy with 7....Ray has 8 and said he will hold fire. Good job as he moaned like hell about 8 when that came out

No need to wait as you will get offered a free upgrade anyway.
I'll be away on hols when it's released so when I'm back 2 weeks later it will have had a good test by others and I'll decide then if I want to upgrade it or not.

never had either, only Samsung, but I do have an external Toshiba hdd, and that is an old workhorse still going strong

To be honest, pop yourself down to PC World etc, have a play with both or all, each have custom program/window settings etc to make it theres, and not everyone like those custom changes

Do not listen to the sales staff, go with what you like best, after all it is your fingers and eyes

Do you guys think it's important to have smart phones and computers that have the same operating system?
