Headline : The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

"The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. It went viral throughout social media during mid 2014.[1][2] In the United Kingdom, people also participate in the challenge for the Motor Neurone Disease Association."

My thoughts :

Many of my friends have done this and I've been watching the ones on YouTube from celebrities.

All in a good cause.

I've seen lots and lots of these videos on Facebook.  Although it is nice as it is for a good cause, some people are forgetting that it is actually dangerous.

With regards to the celebrities doing it, I recently read an article online (I can't remember the name of it) whereby someone accused celebrities of just doing it for publicity.  Any celebrity that does it is instantly given an article on the Daily Mail website and other websites.  Obviously if it helps to raise awareness of the charity then it's a good idea and i'm sure the people complaining haven't done it.
