Cheetahs are solitary animals (except occasionally brothers will hunt in packs) and they only catch 50% of their prey. Yes, they are the fastest land mammals but can't sustain the chase. Also they need 20 minutes at least to recover so wont start eating till after that time. Then (and this is the biggest problem)..if they have been watched by other predators like hyenas...they will abandon their prey and not eat. slight_frown

Oh god...apologies for going OTT with this info but it's a subject close to my heart..LOL
