I will stick with my little Gucci cuff bangle watch. First one bought in the USA in 1997. Still works perfectly today though as it had signs of wear and tear it was replaced with an identical model. (also sourced from the States)
All it does is tell the time...but in quite a classy way

I don't suppose Nigella's jelly has broken either (How did you manage to squeeze her in on this thread?)

Well my little Gucci watch is NOT waterproof or shatterproof (supposedly). However, it has been in the shower 3 times and the swimming pool once. It has also been snatched off my wrist and thrown with force at a wall (by a patient) and guess what? .....Tick tock tick tock...took it all in it's stride...

I'm happy with Caso multi function watches. Used them for years and my present one was a gift from my wife the Christmas before she passed. Never taken it off my wrist since and fixed the car, built garden walls, sawn trees down, built fences, painted the walls etc and it's travelled all over the world with me. Be a sad day if anything goes wrong with it now but I have a feeling it will outlive me.

My Casio is on it's third new strap, it's a radio controlled one so it sets itself, came in at about £40.
I just can't see any reason to change it.

I have an older Citizen Ecodrive watch which has lasted up to 5 or 6 years now. The same rechargeable battery face, a couple of minor scratches however all works fairly good.
