So it is 50 years ago today.  I remember the shock and horror as a 16 year old of a terrible disaster that could and should have been avoided.

144 people died of which 116 were children. Please spare a thought for them.

Terrible disaster which could have been avoided had they listened to concerns expressed by the people of Aberfan. They were talking to some survivors today. Very moving slight_frown

I'm certain the pain of the survivors and those who lost loved ones will never disappear. A true tragedy in every sense of the word.
