My problem has been with O2 backroom guys for nearly 4 weeks now. Despite threats of contacting me with a solution no one has quite managed to do that on any of the occasions promised. Ah well, must be really difficult. I purchased a PlayBook and although it can see the outside world via the router OK, it's invisible on the network. Neat trick if that was what you were after, but I'm not. I've taken it and my laptop to my mates house and everything works as it should, I have even tried another router at home and that works fine too. So over to O2! It would appear that wifi devices are being prevented from communicating properly even when they are on the same sub net. For my own curiosity I telnetted in for a look - I can see what they've done (dozy gits springs to mind) but I'm minded by the fact that O2 don't pay me, in fact I pay them!
So O2, what's keeping you from providing a solution?
