Thanks for direction to O2 website.
But they are wrong.
Upgrading from Vista to Win 7 McAFee DOES NOT work.
It fails to upgrade Data definitions and eventually falls over.
The only way it seems is to completely remove McAFee Vista version and then re-install using the methods described above.
My difficulty has been getting O2 to even respond to my problems.
There were also problems on Vista where McAFee started informing me that my Reghistration was not current.
O2 told me to reinstall, but acknowledged that when intalling it was probable that McAFee would NOT install Security Suite at first attempt, you had to do AV first THEN do Security Suite.
So I think that the O2 issued version of McAFee had been having problems for some time.
Any Road Up.
I now have working McAFee so I am happy.....for a while.

I had just bought and installed Norton before I joined o2 last year so didn't bother installing McAfee. Now when I try to reg with Mcafee, using 'forgotten password' method they can't/won't send password as the primary email address with o2 was never registered with them. o2 confirm I am using correct address but say they can't take it further, Mcafee just try to sell me a subscription. I like the o2 network but their customer service is non-existant.
