Router connection to O2 Wireless box IV

I want to extend my network in my house with cables because they are more secure and faster. At the moment all new devices requires network connection, some can be wireless others requires cables and I decided to buy a router to connect it to my modem but I do not know if is possible. I want to buy a router with more ports and use it to all my computers.

Thank you.

Hi, i would recommend that you use a switch to connect your devices Via ethernet cable.

I use this in my network to cannect the TV,Servers,IP Camers, and Computers and someother things

Hope it helps

Is it just a straight connection to it? Does it affect the Internet speed? Also I thought of this too but I wasn`t sure if it works. I wanted a netgear pro safe 8 ports.

Re: Router connection to O2 Wireless box IV

The following link shows how to connect two O2 boxes together via ethernet (or a pair of homeplugs).

Alternatively you can put the O2 box in to bridge mode, it then just acts as a modem. You can then connect it to any router with a EWAN port.
