Paul, there are many different reports on the web. It's difficult what to make of it. However, when looking at Sky's main support page, for example, it seems they are also still experiencing problems.
Have you seen any official reports from either of them?

I did find this tho
"Interoute are currently experiencing a network outage on the UK/Netherlands section of their Transmission network. Cause of the issue is a fibre break between UK and Netherland. [snip] OTDR completed and break location identified as a sub-sea break – cable repair ship now being arranged." - Sadly the quote is from an unknown source... if we find it we will link to it!
Also / Most providers appear to have routed around the problem.
I hope this is not true, this would prob take days to fix!
