First of all let me state over the last few years O2 customer service has been fantastic. Quick, responsive with good quick results.
Like, alas many others I am moving over to fibre optic for faster upload, so phoned up to request my mac code.
As usual the service on the phone was great, superb, and I was told the mac code would be sent to me in an hour to 24 hours, you can guess what happened, no code.
A day later I phoned up (again a very polite person) to be told there has been a system crash, and a new mac code would be issued, alas still nothing (23 hours have passed) so I will be contacted customer service alas again in a few hours.
As you can understand getting a tad frustrated, I still feel that O2's customer service is fantastic shame they can't simply give me a little code. Will keep you updated.

It seems this time I was lucky and was given the mac code as I waited

Sometimes it's just not possible to issue a MAC if the BT system is down......it's not O2's failure, any ISP would be affected.
