Been a naughty boy it seems, Download limits.

Had a call recently from O2 telling me i have used too many resources and downloading too much, Over 100gig.
Been with O2 for over 2 years, I think its £9.50 a month if i topup the pay as you go phone with £10 every 3 months. No idea of the package name.
When i 1st signed up i did ask about download limits and pretty sure they said something mad like 300gb a month.
Checking the router now which seems to reset a lot lately.
50GB in 14 hours according to the transfer log. That seems rather excessive seeing as my netlimiter log says 5GB this month. Its only connected at 3830.
I have had high 4's before but assumed O2 were capping me due to the amount of downloads. Is 50GB even possible at my connection speeds?
I admit i did download more than 100GB, Assuming the limit was 300GB. Never had a call before when i have gone over 100GB.
Doesnt help when iplayer downloads the same shows over and over if you leave series record running. Watch a show after 7? days it removes it then shortly after re-downloads it again.
Is the transfer log in the router since the last connection or router power off? If thats the case 50GB in 47 days.
What are my options? On O2's LLU not access.
Thanks

Over 2 years? That means you must be on a legacy package, I would say standard as you mention £9.50. These are unlimited as are the new ones now.

Assume 3Mbps download speed.
3 * 60 * 60 * 14 /8 = 18.9 GB download is possible in 14 hours.
Assuming 700 Kbps upload speed
0.7 * 60 * 60 * 14 /8 = 4.4 GB upload is possible in 14 hours.
Have you checked the router for any unknown wireless connection?
Have you run a anti virus check?
Edit
Corrected MB v Mb

Assume 3MBps download speed.
3 * 60 * 60 * 14 = 151.2 GB download is possible in 14 hours.
Assuming 700 KBps upload speed
0.7 * 60 * 60 * 14 = 35.3 GB upload is possible in 14 hours.

Don't think so. Speed is actually 3mbs not 3MBs , a factor of 8 difference. So 14 hours is nearer 20GB.
