Re: Am I Getting The Right Speed According To My STATS?

OK, let's step back a little here.
Why were you on standard ADSL at the start of this thread? O2 wouldn't have done that without your permission. Are we missing something here?

not sure i think i was always on standard adsl, i dont think they changed it after the test period, guess it just stayed the same.

Re: Am I Getting The Right Speed According To My STATS?

i'm starting to think i was better off on standard adsl lol, i note my noise margin has increased to 7.5 on the up and down, normally it would be around 6 -6.5 and sometimes 7

Sometimes you can be, particularly on long or unstable lines - but it really is used to cover up issues on them, rather than solve a problem. 992.3 is ADSL2, so it seems like something is causing the DSLAM to change your profile and use a lower range of frequencies.
Try this: plug a Filter with BB and a CORDED phone into test socket, dial 17070, choose option 2... is should be DEAD silent, no crackles pops, hissing etc.
If noisy, unplug filter and put phone directly into socket, and test again. if still noisy, this needs to be reported to your landline provider as a VOICE fault (noise on the line), don't mention broadband to them.
If not noisy at all, or only when BB is plugged in, this needs to be reported to O2.
