It sounds very much as though the account is still barred. Unfortunately you do need to phone customer service but don't use live chat. You could call into your local O2 store to see if they can call customer service for you or let you use the phone.

Hi @Anonymous

It sounds as if they have barred the handset as well as the sim

The only people who can remove the bar are customer services http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

Best time to phone is about 8.30am if you can...

At least they saved you from an enormous phone bill, if the sim had been misused.

I hope you get back working soon.

Have already called them twice before 30min wait times only to be told systems are down and they have no idea when they will be up and running. This kind of service is unacceptable! The guys in store were not sure what the problem is they actually went on chat to find out what is wrong and advised l should be back on track in two hours this was over 10 hours ago...

Hi @Anonymous

I presume you have turned your phone on and off to check whether it is now working?

Sadly the only people who can sort this for you are O2 customer services

Best time to ring in my opinion is about 8.30 am

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I can't see the systems being down all this time. Call them again and keep calling until they sort it out. Speak to a manager.
