Hi guys,

As most of you are aware, we use the "kudos" feature to say thanks or to show that you agree with someone else's post.

We think this feature is very useful for the community, but we understand that some of you really don't like the word "kudos" itself and have asked in the past to change it. We're evaluating this option and would love to hear your suggestions for an alternative word.

Fire away!

That seems the simplest to me and needs no explanation but could be seen as a live link back to a Facebook page as these links appear everywhere now.

If it's not too big how about a "Did it for me" button?

It would all depend on what the purpose is of the "helpful" button. if it is to say thanks, then yeah that would probably be a good name for it. However why would you click on a button that says "helpful" to show that you agree with someone else's post?

I know I use "Kudos" quite often for that purpose, to show that I agree with a post, however that post may not always be helpful!

Toby, is there an option to add another button? I visit another forum where there is a "Thanks" button, a "Like" button and a "Dislike" button.

But as I said at the start of this post, it all depends what the purpose of the "kudos/helpful" button would be.

I think a 'dislike' option would introduce possible issues !

Some great suggestions here guys.

@perksie: I love that, but you're right in that it may be too long unfortunately. I'll look at size options.

@ Papadug: The meaning of the button would not change (at least not for now). There are options for other buttons, but I'd need to look into this further slight_smile

As for a dislike button. I have to agree with bandofbrothers. It could create tension. On the other hand, it could prove insightful in some circumstances.

Keep them coming guys. I'll think of a few to run by you too.

How about a "BINGO" button, word would soon spread about it's meaning and it's amusing?t

"Hey, if we've helped you hit my BINGO button before you go!"

Or EUREKA ! slight_smile

Or THAT WORKED ! slight_smile
