O2 travel - data and tethering

Anonymous
Not applicable
I'm on pay monthly and using o2 travel.
I understand there is now no daily data limit but subject to fair usage. Does the data used come out if your UK monthly allowance? And could I turn my phone into a hotspot to tether my iPad to whilst you abroad? Thanks In advance

Speeds will be limited for streaming though.
It should be fine for emails and social media.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You will struggle with tethering to be honest when roaming for anything other than just general browsing.

I have been told by one advisor that tethering wasnt allowed outside of the UK, as backed up by http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/mobile/o2travel-paymonthly-terms-and-conditions

A previous (pre-sales) advisor told me there was no restriction.

I see in this thread that some people have used tethering abroad, can I assume it is not allowed but unenforced?

I've seen a version of T&C on these forums from April which doesn't mention tethering like the current t&c does. In a quandary.

@jonsie, thanks for the feedback.
