More forum changes?

The forum went down for maintenance tonight...just for a short while. When back on I noticed these changes in the message reply box (the top layout)

Is everyone seeing the same? When you click on the add photo box...it is all completely different as well?

The changes work ok on pc so off to try on mobile...

When the forum went down I went to bed so only noticed this morning on my first reply..

They work on PC @jonsie but that photo box is now massive when opened. As I said it filled my laptop screen....

@Toby I have been playing around seeing what else works or not. I attempted to test sending a PM and including a link (using the link box top of message page). It wouldn't send..... I got this. Even trying a second time gave me the same error message?

In addition to the comments others have already submitted, when I select "Insert a Video" the only option that seems to be available is to link to a video on YouTube.  If that is so it seems a bit shortsighted not to say daft.   Instructional videos could be very useful but why insist that they must first be on YouTube?   But maybe I am reading it all wrong.

@Cleoriff; thanks for flagging that, I'm talking to the rest of the team now. The update (as many of you have seen) is mainly related to how to upload media, but I'm checking to see how it has impacted us.

@Anonymous; This has always been the case. If yoy wish to, you can visit Lithium's website and community and post an idea there to add more types of video upload.

Using the link box only happens in the PM section @Toby as I have used this without problem in the open forum

today. I can send a link via PM as long as I don't use the correct link section.

This is annoying though as it requires the reader to copy and paste the link before they can access it

When I allow mouse pointer to hover over the various icons in the message toolbar I see the tooltip AND also "Press Escape for text editor" -   that may always have been the case but I can't say I noticed before the current changes.

PS - I use IE11 so perhaps it is a browser issue.  Not critical so no need to pursue.
