Galaxy Note 4 -- not for existing customers?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I was waiting for Note 4 for quite a while as I can already upgrade my contract but I want this exactly device. Today I noticed that on the O2 website Note 4 is shown as In stock, and you can order it for next day delivery, but if you try to upgrade, it isn't available.

I tried to phone customer support, but with the same result -- they couldn't offer Note 4 as an upgrade.

I don't like this. If it will remain like this tomorrow, I might just switch to another network. Being an O2 customer proves to be a disadvantage.

@Anonymous as I suspect of course you can upgrade to a note 4.

There is an IT issue with it, was suppose to be fixed by now but still not allowing upgrades to be put trough Smiley FrustratedDestroy

No timescale I'm afraid, but as you can Imagine it is top priority as you are not the only customer that wants it .

That's gotta be a glitch somewhere?
Even with the recent problems, there's no way I could see that policy actually being considered let alone passed

Call 202 and speak to retentions, if anyone can put it through, it's them.

Bizarre if that is true!!
Maybe different after the site has updated overnight as I believe the Note 4 only went live earlier today....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

That's just plain wrong. If you're eligible for an upgrade, you should be entitled to upgrade to any phone of your choosing that O2 sells.

It may be worth feeding your disappointment back to O2 via http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain/complain although it can take up to 28 days to get a response.

Does seem like madness.

Did they explain why ?

Call Customer Services on 202 from your mobile and use the option that says you're looking to leave O2.
