Last week I had major problems with my emails on my laptop. I used Incredimail and BT Yahoo mail. Anyway got it all sorted as my husband took them both off and started me on Outlook email....which is ok as it does what I want it to....
All that aside I have noticed a change to emails when informing me of PM's. In the past it was a simple email to say '*Joe Bloggs* has sent you a PM in the O2 community'....you then had to log on to read it.
Now I am getting the same email but if I scroll down the email I can actually read the PM...without logging on at all?.... Very strange. Is this because i have changed to Outlook or what...??

If you remember back when Chiara was around, she confirmed that it was possible for admin to read PM's but they would only do it if there was serious enough reason for them to do so.
We have to trust in the integrity of admin or use some other means of private communication.I did not know that....
You mean "T" can read all my innuendo laden pms to "M" and "M" can read pms asking "T" to remove adult blocks cuz I'm bored at work??
Well!! I think you have just opened your own can of worms there my boyo....

I don't tend to send many PMs due to privacy issues...I'm not altogether sure what the P stands for...personal, private, public?

When I started this thread it was because my Private Messages had suddenly undergone a change in the way they appeared in my email inbox. I admit it was a bit of a 'shock' to see the content on display (for me to read without having to log on) ... I honestly thought it was due to the fact I had changed my email provider and this was a clever trick
Oh...and yes...I always understood the P to mean Private @jonsie

Not going to start a new thread but use this one to make a couple of other points about forum issues
1) Last night the forum crashed again. Went offline for 30 minutes about 9pm. It went down the day before for about 15 minutes ....and the evening before that for approx 10 mins...
This seems a bit too frequent for it to be maintenance in my humble opinion...
2) I think it is still 'glitching' this morning. I had to make 3 attempts at logging in before I succeeded..
I wonder if @Anonymous knows whats happening?
