Exchanging handset within the 14 day period

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi there, just upgraded my phone via fast track at the O2 shop and after a day I decided that I did not like it, so returned it to the shop to exchange it under the 14 day exchange policy and the manager said it is not possible.

It clearly says on the O2 website under terms and conditions that you can, what is going on?

I will go to court if need be, clearly a lie on there behalf.

We are all human and make mistakes.

Suggesting a P45 is a little harsh. 😔

Some re training Yes. 😉

Really? I am glad that being human didn't allow me to make that many mistakes! Sending someone off to another store to do a job he should have done (with his 'manager' status) is totally out of order ...

Edited to add...some folk may have thought I was speaking rather tongue in cheek about the P45...however....:smileysad:

The op decided to go to another store I believe. The manager of the initial store didn't send them elsewhere.

We all make mistakes and it then falls on if we learn by them.

A complaint via via the online form should be sufficient surly as feedback to that manager.

Saying he should be sacked over a mobile phone contract mix up I think is harsh.

You don't know if he's new or has always hit the nail on the head in the past.

A manager should be sufficiently trained to hold the position of management - If not, get someone in who can do the job properly - Simples !!
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

A manager should know the basics of the terms and conditions at the very least. If he doesn't he shouldn't be a manager, maybe he was a stand in or very new but you would think he had some sort of grounding in the job.

I agree and training is the key here.

Not giving him his P45. 😞

Im sure if he's a family Man his family would agree.

And as I said quite clearly...anyone else may have thought my comment (linked to the mediator part) was tongue in cheek...however...enough now...

Hi, went for the Apple iphone 6 as previously had the 5 and had quite a bit invested in apps and music.

Tried the Sony Z3 compact android and although it was ok I just prefered the ios of Apple, so difficult to make the swap, suppose I never will.

Thanks for the help on the forum by the way.
