I'd never go with O2 again after being bombarded with marketing calls since this tie up happened .

CPW are actually tied into all of the major networks.

What tie up ?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

That won't remove the OP from Carphone's marketing texts and calls. They would have to contact / write to them themselves to opt out of their calls.

I'm pretty sure (though don't quote me on it) that there have been instances in the past where Carphone have been known to sell customers data so be careful.

They do without doubt. They have customer bases for all the networks they sell contracts for. That is certainly true for o2 and EE I know for sure. When Three take over o2 they will probably have a full house!

Or maybe Three will withdraw O2 from the CPW contracts as they have done with themselves?
