I just received this sms from o2 this morning. Which begs the question, is it fish fingers and custard for dinner tonifht again?

A text to say that 4G is coming to your area?

When 4G was first coming to my area, I got a text and an email - it took me weeks to get the 4G sim and set up the tariff, only to be told that 4G was not actually in my area yet.....

It may still be weeks/months before 4G is in your area, even if you have the text from O2.

I was going to give until the end of current contract until I changed anything anyway. Although some real user experience is also useful to have.

Yes I got that last March - but it was many weeks before 4G started to appear on my mobile.  On the up side, O2 did upgrade my tariff to 4G free of charge.   We  now have quite good 4G coverage in the urban area where I live though it is still not too wodely available beyond the town limits.

No it was basically 4G is ready and after a few final steps (tests?) it will be ready.
