3G/4G availability

Anonymous
Not applicable
Can anyone tell me if there are plans to make 4G or even enhanced 3G more widely available? Had a 4G ready phone for over 3 months now, yet only been in an area once that I could put it to use. Most areas I seem to be in the South East gets 3G at best, enhanced if I'm lucky! Several areas still can't even get 3G.
When is this going to improve?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

If they posted specific timetables for the rollout and didn't meet the dates there would be even more complaints. So much easier for them to be vague about it or give no dates at all.

Thanks for all the prompt replies, so I wont hold my breath waiting!
Wouldn't mind so much waiting for 4G, but you would think by now 3G and enhanced 3G would be more widely available, or if O2 are not going to spend any more money on that, they would roll out 4G quicker!

I just saw a Vodafone advert on the telly going on about how they now have 4G in 11 major cities. Doesn't say much for the rest of the country, considering that O2 and Vodafone now share masts.

No plans for any O2 or Voda 4G near me for at least the next 3 months.

At least the Vodafone coverage checker tell's you if there's any 4G coverage planned in the next 3 month's when you input a post code.

It does seem O2 & Voda are getting left behind on 4G.

Anyway im a happy EX O2 customer, I get excellent 4G service form Three. tongue
