3G/4G availability

Can anyone tell me if there are plans to make 4G or even enhanced 3G more widely available? Had a 4G ready phone for over 3 months now, yet only been in an area once that I could put it to use. Most areas I seem to be in the South East gets 3G at best, enhanced if I'm lucky! Several areas still can't even get 3G.
When is this going to improve?

O2 are making many improvements between now and for the next 3 years but we don't know exactly what the detail is.

I doubt it - Toby hasn't been able to get anything so they're not likely to tell us, well not the truth anyway....

I don't believe Customer Services either have Rollout Info or if they do will not divulge it.

Typical answers I've had is :

Register for Updates.
Keep looking at the 4G Cities Link.
Check Service Status.
Look at Info from Network future link.
