o2Open and iPhone 6

Whilst pre-ordering my iPhone 6+ today I was told the 6 and 6+ were excluded from the 30% offer I have. No reason given. Any one else got any info. Seems a bit harsh.

Most networks will negate any discount or special offer on new handsets (particularly handsets such as the new iPhones). This is purely because, in general, people are so desperate to get their hands on the latest and greatest that they're happy to pay full whack for the privelege. It's just standard business practice - at the end of the day, why should a carrier need to offer incentives to buy something which is so (rightly or wrongly however you see it) sought after...

Its just frustrating. I've been an o2 customer since BT Cellnet days. I used my o2 open code for my iPhone 4s and iphone 5 contracts on launch days with no problem.

I was just about to say this. My girlfriend wanted to use her 30% off discount but it clearly said it couldn't be used with the iPhone 5C or 5S. Now it has been dropped though

I preordered the phone and i was told by the sales team and instore that the code can be used. It just takes a month to be activated.

Then that would be much faster than any other launch and contradicts what is said on o2's official faqs.

Let us know if your open code discount is applied in said "month" please.
