iphone 6 plus

hi folk`s,  i am a pensioner so not very good with mobile phones,  

i have bought an iphone 6 plus which is on o3 , but i use the tesco mobile o2 service. i have been told that if i put my o2 sim card into it it will operate properly. is this correct or do i have to get the phone unlocked?

I think we have all tried to provide a positive contribution @Anonymous I found out all I needed to re the fact you had had a previous iPhone so would be pretty competent using them. As said by others if the phone was from 3 it will be unlocked to any network....Hope everything goes ok with it.

It was an unlocked phone so any sim would work in it.
