Re: iTunes says Sim is not supported

Hi!

Restoring your iPhone should fix the problem. Do try to make a back up before you start the proces (just to make sure).

Gl & let us know how it works out!

Re: iTunes says Sim is not supported

Maybe their system hasn't registered the unlock!?!?!

I requested my phone be unlocked several weeks ago, recievied the text to say it had happened and now that I've gone to put a new sim card in etc, it's not working!

I spoke to someone on livechat and was told there was no record of my request, and that they would have to start the process again!

This now leaves me with NO PHONE for up to 10 days, althuogh they did finally say they would mark it as a priority request, whatever that means!!!

Re: iTunes says Sim is not supported

No idea what the next step is, but my very ranty chat with them last night may have paid off!

Despite no email from them to say it has been done, I've synced (again) and it all works!

So goodbye O2, and hopefully I won't have any hassles with my new provider (Who actually can provide the service I pay for when it comes to phone signal and 3G signal too!)

Re: iTunes says Sim is not supported

After the reset, have you tried taking the SIM out & putting it back in again? Might be worth a try.

Since you received a message saying that the SIM is unlocked, I'd say that is not the problem, but based on what unhappyH says, it might be worth double checking with O2 ("Contact Us" at the bottom of the page), to see if the unlocking was successful. You might also want to check with them if the unlock is active straight after you receive the message or if you need to wait a couple of hours.

GL & keep us posted!

Re: iTunes says Sim is not supported

Did the O2 customer service your sim was unlocked? If it is not, I'm afraid there is no other way than asking for an unlock again.

If O2 does confirm the unlocking of your sim, you know the problem is in your phone settings.
