Re: Interesting

Have just had the same problem over the last week. Contacted O2 and initially They said it must have randomly messaged in my bag . I disputed this as luckily the exact time of the messages corresponded with some I had sent which the recipient never received. Almost like they have some sort of dump number for stray message betwixt and between iMessage and normal text message . They spoke to their iPhone team who said they were aware of this issue and still trying to resolve it. So if anyone else has this problem do let O2 know, it may help them to solve it quicker and stop us being charged for something that shouldn't be happening .

I have the same problem with this number being charged to my account. As of Fiday 27th July the total extra added to my bill was £19 for for media messages WHICH I NEVER MADE! - customer service refunded £18.10 and requested I keep checking my bill. Upon checking my bill on 29th July I had another 7 charges to this number relating to 28th July. Customer services have requested their technical team look into this and contact me within 5 days. This needs resolving ASAP

o2 dont post here much. this is a customer to customer forum. your best bet is to follow the advice already given or contact cs using the live chat function. contact us at bottom of page, wait for live chat to appear then click on that to speak with an online advisor or phone cs directly using 202 on your pay monthly mobile

Re: iPhone sending MMS messages

To everyone having this showing on their bill

I work for o2 and have had a few people say they have had this charge on the bill and no one knew why

I have found out what it is

The O2 network displays 000000000001234 when a MMS is sent to a EMAIL ADDRESS

this is normally acidental but is a valid charge

Re: iPhone sending MMS messages

Thank goodness I've found others having the same problem

I have a Blackberry and have been charged on 2 bills so far for media messages to this number which I did not send.

I queried this yesterday on online chat with O2 and was told it's a o2 landline number, whatever that is, but I have not sent anything to that number.

Last month I got credit for the blunder but this time she was adamant and I'm disputing it.

Too right, it does need sorting out. Come on o2, be fair to your customers.

I will not be renewing my contract when it's due.
